What is a "Victory" Church?

Victory Churches of Canada was founded on March 29, 1979 by President and founders, Dr.'s George & Hazel Hill. It moved from being a single church in Lethbridge, Alberta to the worldwide church planting organization it is today.

The earmarks of a Victory church include intimate worship, Christ-centered preaching and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Locally

Victory Church of the Peace, was birthed in 2006 by Pastor Todd & Emma Moore as a result of a local congregation's decision to join with the Victory Family.

Our congregation is a church with a heart for the family. Our Sunday services are lively and energetic, the preaching is Bible based and offers practical, life giving perspectives for daily life. We want you to sense God's awesome love, mercy, healing, forgiveness, and encouragement for you.

Regionally

Our sister church, Victory Church on the Rock in Grande Prairie was birthed March 26, 1995 by Pastor Paul and Janice Juss, in a rented room called "The Bunker". The young congregation expanded quickly, outgrowing the facility and after 4 moves, now resides in their own leased space in the Martin Weiss Building, while having their Sunday morning service at the Jan Theatre downtown Grande Prairie.

The Grande Prairie Church is a continuing source of support to our new Peace River work. They uphold us in prayer, send ministry teams to train and equip us, and encourage us in many other tangible ways.

Nationally

The basic purpose of local VCI Churches is to reach, teach, and mobilize. VCI's long term objective is to plant 100 churches across Canada. The basic purpose of Victory Churches of Canada is to raise up and release 5-fold ministry giftings unto Holy Spirit directed service, to plant church-planting churches to work together for the purpose of reproducing leaders and churches, and to give apostolic oversight and direction to planted churches.

Internationally

The long term objective of VCI is to plant 1800 churches in 18 nations. The basic purpose of Victory Churches International is to plant church-planting organizations in as many nations of the world as is possible, to raise up apostolic leaders in each nation, to release developed 5-fold ministry giftings unto Holy Spirit directed service to the nations, to work together as a united nation with a common purpose to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus.
